Chapelier Fou: I love your music and this animation is a perfect match.
Congratulations to both of you!

Re: Will Live 8 64 Bit support M4L and Video?

I guess this is a "NO" then? Well, I think I even understand it from Abletons point of view. Why invest time and money in an old version when there is this glorious new L9... It just feels bad since we were already halfways there with a usable 64 Bit verson of L8. I can only say that I wou...

Horrible really, I agree. ;-)

Making sense should be forbidden anyway.
I guess Angstrom never saw the movie on the matter from the Talking Heads, otherwise he would know how to behave...

What has the world come to

Re: Top 5 things I will regret after going from Live8 to Live9

Hehehehe - yeah, I think I agreed with you about basically everything you ever wrote in the beta ;-) The best thing about Ableton Live 9 is, that it made it so easy to decide NOT to update ;-) The beta made it so brutally clear how stuck Ableton really is. Frightening in a way. Thankfully I don't de...

Re: Top 5 things I will regret after going from Live8 to Live9

In the beta we were told that "nobody is using tagging anyway". Check out the new OSX: http://www.apple.com/osx/preview/ Scroll a bit down. "Tags are a powerful new way to organize and find your files, even documents stored in iCloud. Simply tag files you want to organize together wit...

Re: Ableton Live Suite 8.4 final (x32/x64) program only setups?

yeah, pretty annoying to have the C: Drive cluttered with all those files even if you have your library somewhere else. I don't even understand why they aren't deleted after install - I never had to repair my library ever. I did it once by accident and it took something like two full days... I delet...

Re: Will Live 8 64 Bit support M4L and Video?

Ok, now that there is a Max 64 Bit beta I want to repeat my question: Will we be able to use the 64 Bit version of Ableton Live 8 with Max for Live? I am no fan of Live 9 so far and would prefer to continue using Live 8, but 64 Bit becomes more and more important here... An answer would be appreciat...

Re: Will Live 8 64 Bit support M4L and Video?

Yeah, but my question is: will we be forced to update to Live 9 to be able to use Live 64 Bit with Video and Max for Live or not.

Will Live 8 64 Bit support M4L and Video?

Hi, sorry if this has been answered before, but from the the Knowledge Base it doesn't become really clear if M4L and Video will be supported in Live 8 64 Bit or if only Live 9 will include these? I'm not exactly thrilled with Live 9 so would prefer to stay in 8 but still be able to use more RAM. Th...

Re: Anybody use a Doepfer R2M ribbon controller?

Yeah, it's pressure sensitive. Maybe I wasn't clear above, the Eowave Ribbon sends: - Notes by pressing somewhere. - User assignable controller from the amount of pressure you apply (by default CC 7). - Pitchbend when moving up or down while still pressing. Pitch-jumps can be done when pressing some...

Re: Anybody use a Doepfer R2M ribbon controller?

I was in the same boat some weeks ago and in the end decided for the Eowave Ribbon. From what I read, the Doepfer has limited pressure sensitivity and that was actually one of the things that I hoped to use a lot. I also didn't feel like I would use the functions of the controller much with the avai...

Re: New look Ableton website.

Again, the only place I've seen negative responses was here, and if you count, there are less than 10 people hating it. - This is the Ableton forum. Where else would you expect to see feedback? - Make that 11 then. I know from personal experience how hard it is to make a fullscreen website work in ...

Re: Ableton Forum - user style

It is so weird - Ableton always was my main example for a clean, stylish and absolute consistently used design in a companies products, website and gear. this. it wasn't colorful, loud, ornate, cluttered... it might not have scaled well on devices, but that is a separate matter. when it comes to we...
