Ableton Support (thank you Simone!) was able to help me.
I had to start ableton with integrated graphics processor and now it just works fine.

After updating neraly every software and drivers possible it got notibly better. Ableton still freezes after loading Bengal but cpu usage dropped significantly and its usable again.
