Re: CLAP Plugin support
VST2 is now being retroactively pulled by Steinberg license wise. It's still not clear what this means, if it means that there will be no support in updates to Live and other DAWs for VSt2 or not? but that's how it reads. This is exactly why CLAP came into existence. Hosts have a hard time using VST...

Re: Live 12 reference manual DISCONTINUED BOOOOOO
Here's the Live 12 online manual. With all due respect, it needs a lot more work. I don't disagree! It's being updated constantly, though, so it's taking shapes. What would be helpful is a "whats new in Live 12" section, that links to the relevant page in the online manual. The only new f...

Re: Using Ableton Live with a band
Simplest way possible would be an audio interface with at least four audio outs. Obviously one of the audio outs goes to headphones with a click track, you can get little headphone mixers that have at least four headphone outs on them, this is the cheapest way to get click tracks. there are bluetoot...

Re: LIVE 12 VST compatability
The fun question, are you who are having issues with this on Mac OS Sonoma 14.4? There have been issues with iLok, peripherals among other things with the last update. iLok issue is only with AU's not with VSTs Oh it's not just iLok. My favorite verified by another user, move Kontakt 7 to your seco...

Re: VST2 is in the way out, Steinberg will terminate SDK licenses
People overhyped VST3 and attacked Ableton for years for not rushing to adopt it, now the truth comes out about VST3 but none of those people will mention that Ableton was right about it all along. Well one thing is true, especially for Windows users, the need to port to VST3 is real. Plus because ...

They had months to update the online manual, and the whole supposed purpose of an online manual is to have a document you can update on the fly.

It's the price of a dinner or sandwich" is suppose to justify a price? I specifically didn't make a false comparison by comparing to something vital, but to something superfluous like expensive 5G+XL-whatnot phone subscriptions. I'm leaving in what's considered a healthy country, I chose a 3€ ...

Re: Expensive update
It's capitalism, so it makes little real world sense. Companies thrive for years on mostly $79 upgrades like Reaper, and companies get bought and sold multiple times like Steinberg, charging far more for upgrades. The obvious issue, Ableton have multiple hands to feed with Suite compared to standard...

You know I was going to say you could search google with the tags for the specific part of the manual you wanted, but Google intentionally broke their boolean search tags, so it's near useless for this now.
Emailing them to get a PDF manual back is a worthy thing to do.

Re: Push 3S - List of Supported Control Surfaces
At this point, these are the ones that have been verified and should work with P3S: - APC Mini - APC mini MK2 - Launchkey Mini mkIII - Launchpad MK2 - APC40 MK1 - APC40 mk2 - Launchpad Pro MK3 Makes total sense, my Push 2 plays nicely with the Launchpad Pro MKIII, would expect most of the same cont...

Re: Ableton Live 12 Release
"I use a lot of plug ins but I will use this stock gear more." Staying totally within Ableton would simplify transferring and sharing files, and make it less likely to crash or have other problems. With the new synths and effects over the years, it's almost possible to stay entirely withi...

Re: A way to independently control Live with laptop/Push2?
Launchpads work fine alongside Push.
The Akai APC lunchers also work.
Another option is Ableton Link, two laptops and whatever controllers you want. Probably the safest option.
