Just starting messing with Ableton a few months ago. Running it on a Toshiba with Vista and an Oxygen 49.

Just a question.... I am looking to create some dirty electro house but cannot seem to figure out how to get any of these types of sounds out of the program. Specifically basslines.

If you mean what instrument do I use to play the sound then I use the computers keyboard. If you mean what instrument in Ableton then it does not matter which it is. It will work for a bit then stop making sound after a while.

When I load up Abelton and go to lay down a MIDI sound it works for a couple minutes and then there is no sound. The yellow sound bar on the left side is registering a sound but nothing comes out of the speakers. If I close the program and re-start it everything is all good.
