try creating a zip. probably results in error message...? apple doing funny things to our computers... probably has sth to do with SIP (System Integrity Protection) try this. worked for me (both ableton live + zip archives) :-) (have not tried step 6-9 to turn this SIP on again...) 1) Reboot your Ma...

same problem here
did not change a thing from last time (last start couple of weeks ago)
no clue how to fix it
reinstall did not help
will not upgrade to sierra (still on el capitan)
