I had a simillar issue. I also had my fingers zapped with electrostatic discharge. Very jittery encoders. Fix : I connected my laptop to the mains via a grounded plug. The grounding fixed everything. Using anker ah221, i think with no issues. The hub also takes my focusrite 2i4 with no noticeable issues but i keep them seperate anyway.

Hey same thing started happening to me too. Around the same time. Wierd coicidence. Lets all go sci fi and blame it on the supermoon amd solar flares causing a ground issue. If i connect my laptop with the three pin grounded charger the issue disappears and now i can use two footswitches with no iss...

You won't blow anything. There seems to be either no path or a poor path to ground somewhere and when you touch the conductive knob on push you create a new path through you. If you don't get a zap, everything is ok. I have a groundimg issue too. The touch encoders get all jittery like they on crac...
