Not possible. A Max device could probably do this.

The only thing I can think of is an option in the file Opions.txt (which is not a new Live 12 feature). But since you have never had issues before, the question is how it got there. Anyway, it's worth checking the file to rule things out. Go to your preferences folder and see if you have a file call...

Nope, it wasn't free.
The upgrade price and pricing scheme for Live 11 were similar to those for Live 12. Live 11 was only free when you recently bought Live 10.

CC Control is not a Max device.

There are tabs on top of the MIDI editor. One of them is MPE.

Ableton should include this in the online manual, regardless of whether a PDF manual exists. It's currently impossible to search the whole online manual. The browser's search option only searches per chapter.

You can do the same thing in Windows as in MacOS. The main point is that ALT shortcuts cannot be used on Windows . Since CTRL+E was already used, Ableton chose E+CTRL for what is ALT+E on MacOS.
