Re: CPU usage in Live 10

Ok I just cleaned my MBP fans which weren’t too bad and did a SMC reset, and Wowzers! Tested to the same set above, my fans are way down due to lower temperatures of air flow.

Re: CPU usage in Live 10

Just tried this optionst.txt line from @vrom https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=230967&p=1758266#p1758266 Anyone try it? My Live 10.1b22 Beta set is with 46 tracks of mostly audio, Live’s Plugs, small handful of 3rd party plugs. Also using external monitor w/ 3 surface controllers thunder...

Re: macOS CPU performance related to WindowServer

I’m testing this right now, so far so good! My fan speed is a bit down too. My Live 10.1b22 Beta set is with 46 tracks of mostly audio, Live’s Plugs, small handful of 3rd party plugs. Also using external monitor w/ 3 surface controllers thunderbolt hub etc. I HAVE done a bit of graphics cutting thro...

Re: Mackie MCU Pro, Push2 and Ableton integration

Actually, IT DID WORK for my controllers. My Push 2, Faderport v2, and X-Touch are all following each other like good children should! And yes, this includes track selection on Ableton Live 10 as well.

Thanks very much for your work Ian!

Best,

Re: Mackie MCU Pro, Push2 and Ableton integration

Good work! Is the script exclusive to Mackie Surface Controllers only, or will they work with other brands with MCU? I’d like to use it with my Behringer X-touch and Faderport V2, couldn’t find scripts for them otherwise.

Re: CPU usage in Live 10

Just erased my SSD drive, did a clean Mojave install, copied only a minimum set of plugins and.. yes, no cure for the CPU spikes. MBP mid-2012, 16GB Ram, 2,7ghz i7. Live 9 was always stable, now Live 10 is choking even with minimal settings. This is unbearable. Also fans go crazy 3 mins into launch...

Re: highlighting audio tracks automatically

Hey there, do you still own the Faderport (Latetest black version)? If so how's it working with you today, are you still on Live 9?

Re: would this piece of gear be redundant with a Push 2?

Hey did you pick up the Faderport eventually? Curious how people are getting along with it in Live 10, I have not heard good feedback as far compatibility so far - especially with Push.

Re: Behringer X-Touch with Ableton Live 9.7.x

Any updates on integration with Live 10? Also trying to find an updated overlay for Live 10 but haven't seen one yet... Anyone had better luck with that? The main thing was updating Xtouch firmware to 1.5. That fixed my banking issues. Did something else change in Live 10? ...because I didn't notic...

Re: SSDs, HDDs, and lots of conflicting info

what’s a NAS? it stands for Network Attached Storage. it usually is an enclosure that houses multiple drives. typically, you can assign the NAS an IP address so that you can access the files from anywhere on your network. So for example, you could keep the NAS in your living room attached to your r...

Re: SSDs, HDDs, and lots of conflicting info

Nada, and I'd even get my wife's employee discount on top of Prime deals. Oh well not too far away from Black Friday. :) (and yes, APFS file transfers are crazy fast in High Sierra. Multiple GB files in just a couple seconds, scary). Thanks for mentioning this ,I just updated to High Sierra with th...

Re: SSDs, HDDs, and lots of conflicting info

Thanks H20nly! I did end up going with the EVO for my Mac Pro, and while it did test faster, I think I still have issues with folder management having 4 internal drives with old and new Live 7-10 sets. Its pain staking, but maybe i’ll eventually organize them right. In the meantime, I snagged a use...

Re: New Serious Problem After Mac 10.13.2

Hey, was thinking about upgrading to the Studio 192. Did Presonu’s drivers over the months help improve your situation? Looks like they’ve updated practice every month up untill this month of May.

Would be interested if USB 3.0 works well with your system compared to 2.0.
