Re: How can I figure out how many notes are in a MIDI file?

thanks for the thought. yeah, i wasn't really finding anything in the way of software or raw published data. i was hoping to compare the 'note density' of a couple different works, and seeing as how there's tons of MIDI transcriptions of classical stuff, i thought it would be as simple as a 'get inf...

How can I figure out how many notes are in a MIDI file?

Hi,

I have some MIDI versions of large classical works and I'm curious to know their respective "note count". Does anyone know how to do this, like a "word count" feature in a word processor?

Thx

Re: Allen Carr's Easy Way To Stop Smoking, Anyone Read It?

the book is awesome. worked for me.. after a pack a day for 10 years. no probs.

just read the book with an open mind. the best part is that he says to just keep smoking like normal while you read it.

Re: annoying hum coming from NS-10, stuck troubleshooting

do you get the hum with just the Multiface connected to the Big Knob, or only when the computer is connected to the Multiface too? also, is this a new problem, or is it the first time you've tried connecting all this gear together? definitely been going on for a little while, but i've only gotten a...

Re: annoying hum coming from NS-10, stuck troubleshooting

thanks for the idea, knot. I just moved the big knob all around the room while feeding the speakers with no discernible difference in the hum. opened up the big knob and saw this.. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/3887413335_b06d897d8d_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3486/3887413127_6aa5ab66...

annoying hum coming from NS-10, stuck troubleshooting

thought i'd see if anyone has any ideas.. mac pro/rme multiface I >> Mackie Big Knob >> Adcom GFA-545 >> NS-10 = obnoxious ground loop type hum that goes from annoying to intolerable when adjusting the input gain on the Big Knob. mac pro/rme multiface I >> Adcom GFA-545 >> Ns-10 = no hum at all. thi...

[amo] Repeat Crash While Deleting Analog Instrument

A set I was working on had: 1. A record enabled track with no slots. 2. An audio track with about 12 short loops 3. A MIDI track with the Analog Instrument loaded. While trying to delete the Analog Instrument, Live crashed. I reopened and selected 'yes' to recover work. The crash report box appeared...

Select Non-Contiguous Clips in Arrangement

In the arrangement view, I'd like to be able to select multiple clips that aren't right next to each other, are in different tracks, etc. i want rubber band selecting and command selecting to select the whole clip, not just a portion of time. i can use the arrangement loop for that! just to give you...

this is one of those things where i just don't understand why it can't or shouldn't be done.

why not have rubber band select / command select apply only to clips and use the loop region to select a whole span of time across all tracks?

Selecting non-contiguous clips in Arrangement View

Am I missing something? I can select multiple clips in the Arrangement view, but only if they are right next to each other. In other words - if I want to select more than one clip, I have to select a chunk of time (from all tracks). Is this really not possible? If not, is there a good reason why it ...

don't let the price fool you; the creation station desk is wonderful.. it's very well thought out and built solid. i have my G5 on the left side of the bottom shelf and my power amp on the right side. with my rack equipment underneath the monitor shelf and some time spent tediously coiling and affix...
