yea, I'm seeing this all of a sudden on mbp open a new project, no plugins, nothing... drop in a clip - buffering takes a few seconds drop in a second - buffering takes 4x longer drop in a third - now we're up to 1/2 a minute more clips - exponential growth in time this, after working for weeks in e...

Considering the renewed interest in the "funky breaks" tutorial thanks to this thread I've updated it for Live 5 (not a lot of differences but hopefully clears up what could be confusing for new users).

If by 'open' you mean 'edit' there's no shame in looking it up. Meanwhile if you have a Creative soundcard then Vienna is the industry standard. Many sythns/samplers like VSampler also does the trick.

It doesn't matter that you get the no-drop cursor -- as long your view changes (and you manage to keep your finger down on the mouse) you can drop it inot the other view. (This is one of my favorite all time features in Live, it's very addictive)
