Re: best specs to run live 10?
I'm not sure if its worth changing Operating Systems though as going Windows might have its own set of issues you might not want to deal with, but generally the Ableton performance has been smoother in regards to faster loading of projects. I would focus on the following: 1. A good processor with h...

your export options for mix down/master?
i have recently started to experiment with different settings.
what are your go to settings for the best export on a mix down/ master and why?
i have mine set at 24 bit, 44100hz, no dither, no normalize.
is dither optional for a master?
can the human ear hear the difference between 24bit and 32bit?

Re: Audio Interface Trouble PLEASE HELP

In the second image, the meters are showing RMS and Peak values, whereas the first image only shows Peak values. Live only started integrating the RMS meter as of version 9.5.
ableton live suite 9 (9.1.8 build, 2015 32 bit)
is that version good/bad???

Re: I tried to master my own music.
Yeah, that's why most mastering engineers have decades of experience and charge decent money for their craft.... it's probably tougher to learn all the tools and techniques to properly mix/master tracks than to learn an actual instrument. Best advice I could offer is to do some training so you can ...

I am not sure where I read this but there was an article I read about mastering and they advised not to master your own mix because it doesn't sound the same way to them as it does to you...

Chill out dudes please. Thanks AMEN on the "chill out!" I get that issues may be somewhat "volatile" to some people, BUT... This is a public forum and if you can't express anger/frustration without the vulgarity, name-calling and insults... Maybe don't hit that button until you ...

Re: how to fix the sound when you have too many compressors?
See, this is the kind of world we've created - MF's don't even know what a compressor is doing or why it's needed, but because everyone's running around creaming their jeans for compressors (why, who knows???) everyone thinks they just need to slap compressors on everything by default... Because he...
