Re: File transfer problems...
The push will work with a USB to Ethernet dongle. Its so much faster and 100% reliable. Besides the dongle all you would need is an ethernet cable from your router. Why walk when you can fly?

Re: I think I've built the most versatile MIDI Controller (am I crazy?)
....intriging! But how do you do that? Where do you get displays with holes in them? Or how do you make them? The idea actually is not so new, it's in fact almost obvious. But there is a reason why these things (hardly) exist. (They exist in the high-end audio world, e.g. the Studer Vista consoles)...

Re: Push 3 Standalone overheating
Just actually watched the upgrade kit installation video. A better question is, do you add the thermal paste to the thermal pad that lives between the external heatsink and the case, or between the internal thermal pad and the case, or both? Cheers I added just a bead to both since this is about re...

Re: Live 12 won't launch
I went ahead and pulled the trigger to upgrade my system which cost me $1200. Talking about the tail wagging the dog. Even though my system needed the refresh, I would've rather done it on my schedule. Yeah and then there's your backup because we all need the safety net of a backup system. Does any...

Re: Live 12 won't launch
Hi! It hit me, too. My setup is running on a AMD FX8350. I know very well that it's not super new, but it's a capable 8 core CPU running @ 4000ghz and still has good benchmarks. So yeah, for sure there might be updates to do from time to time, but this is just a massive marketing fail. AMD FX8350 ;...

Re: Where should my own similar samples be stored?
I would create another partition on your drive, save your projects and samples there, Also, I would install Live on that separate partition, eg not on the main OS partition. If your OS crashes, or you need to move Live, you can create a fresh OS partition and recover most of your Live install. Live ...

Re: Live 12 won't launch
Just to say im in the same boat. I7 3630m laptop.. {the highest upgrade for this socket type} All my files are nicely packed on that laptop and now its useless? The worst part of all this will be moving those files to a new system. All this just to accommodate a compiler flag. I doubt Ableton will o...

Re: Unlock Push 3 - change collection names, default tracks, USB and more
Intro What if I told you there is a way to access your Push 3 Standalone SSD? Once you do, you can do all kinds of things, like: Renaming the collection tags [this post] Check CPU usage [this post] Clean up the filesystem Mount a share or USB drive with all your MP3s [ https://forum.ableton.com/vie...

Re: Brand New Push - Failing to Boot
Hi, I had the Ableton video running from the start. I cannot get to the point of setting up Wifi etc.. As soon as I switch it on it simply hangs with the Ableton symbol and "Push" being displayed on the screen and the pads lighting up with a white pattern. Left it running for 30+ minutes ...

Re: Brand New Push - Failing to Boot
Have you at least followed the online Ableton video guides to activate the push, eg set up wifi to connect it to your Ableton account?

Re: Push 3 - USB C Power
Has anyone found any sort of device at all that can function as a hub with the computer upstream that can power the push 3 downstream with the 45 or 60w it needs for full brightness without the DC adapter? Plugging a thunderbolt cable to the thunderbolt port works ok in dim mode. Just hoping to be ...

Re: Possible to slice to midi track?
m You mean from a Simpler in Slice mode to a drum rack? I think what he means is a way to create the equivalent in Midi as we can do for Audio. I have argued in the NI Maschine forums that it should be possible to apply the same techniques to Midi as we currently have for Audio. In this example, you...
