Re: Live 12, Windows Lagging GUI
In Windows 10, go to Graphics Settings. Add Live 12 to the list. Set it to High Performance. See if that helps! I’ve done this since Live 11 and it solved 99% of the GUI lag. This may also work in Windows 11 but I have not tried it. Cheers!

Re: Making unmappable things Midi Mappable
oo any specific device? The reason I liked Mutator is because of the simplicity (I’m going to be using it in a live context and I can’t be mouse clicking)
Maybe it’s time I bite the bullet and buy some of these isotonik devices and try em out!

Re: Making unmappable things Midi Mappable
Thanks for the quick reply! I will contact the developer. In the meantime, does anyone have any device recommendations for a similar device that can rearrange midi notes in a clip? Searching the max community site is tough and I usually stumble upon good stuff while looking through many pages of ran...

Making unmappable things Midi Mappable
I found a great max device called Mutator, which shuffles notes around in a clip. The only problem is that the Mutatebutton can’t be midi mapped. I know zero about max but I’m thinking it would be a simple matter to achieve this by editing the max patch. Can someone explain to me like I’m five years...

Re: Need help exporting master audio from session view
Resample the master to a new channel:
Set up a new audio track.
Set 'Audio From' to 'Resampling'
Arm the channel for recording and set monitor to Off or Auto, and mute the channel.
Launch a clip in the channel. It should now record whatever is coming through your master channel.
Play!

Re: Record Quantize and sequencer sounding double notes
Been having this double-trigger issue for years, but I work around it with a M4L Device called Clip Quantize Mapper which lets you map a midi button or key to quantize specific tracks at specific values. Just drop the device on a channel before your instrument, turn off the Record Quantuzation in ab...

Re: Play midi note and midi map simultaneously
I don’t think it’s possible using only Live. Once you map a note to a parameter, it will no longer play that note when you press it since it’s been turned into midi cc.

Re: session view: live Looping Count in
What I do is have the metronome going in my in-ear-monitors basically the whole set. Have the global launch quantization set to 1 bar, and launch a blank clip during the time you’d want your count in. The clip will begin recording on the 1st downbeat of the next bar. You never have to stop the trans...

Re: Ableton Slow GUI Problem (Windows 11)
I was having massive problems with this as well, and here’s what I did and things seem to be working lots smoother: In windows, search “Graphics Settings” and add Ableton to the list of programs, then set it to “High Performance”. Disable any unused midi remote scripts (if you’ve ever plugged in a n...

Re: Audio Clips "sticking" to mouse cursor
I’l also having this issue, and as others have stated, it only seems to happen on large projects. It became so annoying that I eventually just changed my workflow and started splitting clips and deleting the unwanted part instead of resizing. I’m on 11.0.11, thinking of updating to 11.0.12 hoping it...

Re: Linked Follow Actions getting stuck
Update: Apparently it's only the "other' setting which has the issue. I set the follow actions to "any" and the issue is gone. Still wish I could use "other" properly though

Re: Stop gaslighting and fix your cpu issues
bump. still having cpu/disk overload issues even though windows task manager says i’m only using about half of my available resources. also, the GUI gets severely laggy when running large projects. If it's impacting performances with things like audio drop outs, then please contact support@ableton....

Linked Follow Actions getting stuck
I have clip follow actions set to 'Linked' with a 100% chance of playing 'Other'. After launching a block of clips, eventually it will get stuck playing the same clip over and over. I have checked and rechecked that I'm using the correct settings for the follow actions but something is wrong. All th...
