I sometimes use Amplitube 2.0 for a clean sound, experimenting with different presets, then getting the guitar to sit correctly in the mix, with a bit of eq, you can get some decent results, if you do it right most people wouldn't be able to tell it from micing up an amp.

Has anyone got the Tascam FW1082 to work as a midi controller for Live 7?
I'm using a Macbook Pro running Live 7. I have the latest 1.6.0 driver from the Tascam site.

I've got it working in Logic now, but not in Live 7.

Nope, it was sold as full version.

I have argued it with the ebay seller. They sold it for cheaper than the retail price, but more expensive than the educational version! They have agreed to pay for my upgrade but I can't find out how much this is. Still waiting for support to get back to me

I purchased live 7 from an ebay auction, slighty cheaper than retail price, but when I opened it up, the serial number says (EDU). I presume this is an educational version? If so, I am not a student or teacher and would prefer the normal version.

Anyone know how much it costs to upgrade from an educational version of Live 7 to non educational version? Can't find the info on the site and waiting for support to get back to me.

I remember seeing a thread or page on the ableton site about using 2 computers with one licence but I can't find it now?

Does anyone know if I can install Ableton on my PC desktop (for recording at home) and also on my macbook pro (for playing live), with the one Ableton 7 licence?
