Re: Record level from Roland Boutique USB
Cheers TSE. I've tried a few things like this but the level still seems low. There is no external gain to adjust via USB unfortunately. Luckily the digital audio is good quality so I can just normalise it a little in an editor, but it's another step I'd happily do without

Record level from Roland Boutique USB
Hi All I have connected my Roland JU-06 to Live via USB. I send MIDI to it and record it's audio but the audio level is quite low - around -30dB. Obviously the unit's volume control has no effect while recording via USB and there's no way to adjust the record gain in LIve (as far as I know). The lev...

Missing files
Hi Folks I have been working on a session for a few weeks now and one of the instruments is a 1.8Gb rack of drum samples. The session has always been slow to load and sometimes greyed out with a 'not responding' message, although it always recovered from this. Yesterday the file would not load and c...

Re: Editing continuous controllers for random results
Thanks - yes I tried the LFO on the actual unit (it's a Roland SH-01A) but it's just not quite right

Editing continuous controllers for random results
Hi folks I'm looking for a way to edit CC data that gives me 'random' values within a range I specify. For example I have a 16th note pattern that would be a little more interesting or lively if each note had a slightly different cutoff frequency. I can manually place a frequency cutoff CC event in ...

Re: Problems mapping Push 2 to M4L device
Thanks for the replies. The Max device is for controlling the Nord Drum 3 http://maxforlive.com/library/device/45 ... leton-live
As it turns out the author sent me a patched version that now maps the Push encoders to all the device parameters. Sorted.
Cheers!

Problems mapping Push 2 to M4L device
Hi All Strange MIDI mapping problem here...any ideas greatly appreciated. I’m trying to map Push 2 to a M4L device but it’s not working the way it should. I open the Live MIDI editor (top right hand corner button) and select the M4L device control I wish to map to a Push encoder. Push is in user mod...

Re: Live can't see MIDI device
Thanks but this refers to using the regular MIDI ports on the microKORG. I'm trying to get Live to see it via its USB port.

Live can't see MIDI device
Hi All I have a microKORG XL which Live can't see. It is connected directly to the PC USB port and I have installed the latest KORG USB MIDI drivers etc. The PC sees it as a 'sound, video or game controller'. Live doesn't see it as a MIDI port to send to or receive from. I would have though it would...

Sending MIDI CC envelopes from audio tracks
I have an audio track and the output goes to an external hardware mixer. I want to adjust the mixer's FX levels for different clips. I can draw in the MIDI controller envelopes and send them as clips from a separate MIDI track but I'd really like to keep them with the clips instead of having separat...

Re: Simpler device pan envelope - where is it?
Wow. I had no idea. Thank you! I have one final question on this topic... Do you know if it's possible to swap the L&R parts? Meaning L to R and R to L. Would be great to do this sometimes just for a little ear candy  There's nothing in the clip view envelope to access this. Could I open t...

Thanks. Dang. How does that work with what looks to be a mono sample?
