Same problem here. I will update if I find a solution.
Edit: So far I have re-installed MAX and has seemed to work. I will update if this continues to happen.

Edit#2: Ok the issue has returned after using Ableton for about an hour. Any max 4 live items do not function and non of the dial/button ...
