Can I just clarify how the UA plugins work?
Am I right in thinking that they appear as VST or AU plugins within Ableton?
And are also available within the UA “Console”..?
So does the UA Console run simultaneously with Live, and how do they relate?

I would like to know that as well...

Yeah, I never use the channel fader for automation for precisely this reason. But instead of a Utility, which only goes to -36dB instead of -inf, I use the chain volume of the first rack on a track.

You can simply copy/paste your automation from the channel fader to this racks chain volume and ...

I asked this question is because I am pretty new to slicing / chopping business and I saw many vids show how to use simpler to do slicing. However, other than simpler, do you guys use other 3rd party vst plugin which has more features than simpler. If so, mind to share with me ?

@jestermgee,thanks that's a good tip. Although Bitwig's take on this with clip tracks turned horizontal is still more logical :)
