Well, do the same audio play back trough more than the dummy track? If so, that's it.
Just tried that. Still got a boost through a new, empty dummy track. Running it through multiple dummies causes even more of a volume increase.
I feel like I read about this somewhere, but I don't remember the ...

Question about Volume and Dummy Tracks
I've recently changed my setup and added a dummy track for an audio in, but noticed some issues with the volume. For some reason, the audio to the dummy tack is much louder coming into the dummy tack. I added a Utility Effect to the main audio track to lower the output volume and set the dummy to ...

Re: M4L device settings wiped after a save?
Sorry, I should've mentioned that in the original post. I'm working with Live 10 on High Sierra.madlab wrote:Which live version and platform / OS ?

M4L device settings wiped after a save?
Hey all, I don't know if this has been reported before, but I've discovered that all my M4L device settings have been cleared out since the other night. When I opened my set today, all the parameters of every device were set to zero (or at least, all the dials were all the way to the left, all the ...

Re: Ableton Live 10 - whats your favourite new features?
Just got L10 earlier this week, so I haven't taken a deep-dive into Wavetable yet (to be completely honest, I never got too deep into Serum because 90% of the features were too "active" for me and didn't have the organic feel that worked in my mix without infinite tweaking).

Re: chain selector and device on/off
Hope it's alright that I'm bumping this thread. I was following the instructions here and they worked almost flawlessly. The only flaw being that it sometimes seems to be generating ghost notes that I can't turn off when I switch back and forth between a couple instruments. Obviously they don't ...

Is there a better way to map an external drum VST?
Semi-newbie question here:
I recently got a copy of Superior Drummer 2 (because I didn't realize 3 was coming out and was just amped on the discount), and I'm still struggling to understand how to make it a more viable tool for some rock-ish stuff I'm working on.

Yeah, sorry. Still getting used to the new lexicon.TomKern wrote:Why would you expect warping to add low end? Did you mean you pitched it down by stretching the audio?!

Re: Experimental Music Questions from a Newbie
Are you wanting to be a one-man(or woman)-band?
The problem is you have 2 hands and play a 2-handed instrument. Granted there are lots of tricks you can do with foot pedals. Maybe you can find a "controllerist" in your area: someone who digs your sound and can be your other 2 hands. That would ...

Experimental Music Questions from a Newbie
Hi, hello, greetings!
I have a slew of questions, and I'm looking for any help. The more pedantic, the better!
