Issue with Ableton Live Recognizing AKAI APC 40 MK2 and Akai Midimix as Separate Controllers
Hello everyone, I'm currently facing a challenge with my setup in Ableton Live, where I'm using two MIDI controllers: The AKAI APC 40 MK2 and the Akai Midimix. For the Midimix, I've mapped each button individually to suit my workflow. However, I'd like to retain the standard mapping for the APC 40 M...

Re: IAC Driver, Live 10.1.2 and macOS Catalina
Well, since Live 10.1.2 is obviously fully compatible with the new macOS again, my question is perhaps superfluous. But before I upgrade to Live 10.1.2, I would like to have confirmation from others who are working with the IAC driver: >> Is Live 10.1.2 running smoothly with the IAC Driver on Catali...

Re: IAC Driver, Live 10.1.2 and macOS Catalina
You are of course absolutely right. I have already corrected my subject and my text: I did not mean LoopBe1, but the IAC driver. I confused the two names. It's already been two years since I used the IAC driver with Live. The IAC driver is a virtual Midi Device, which is already integrated in the Ma...

IAC Driver, Live 10.1.2 and macOS Catalina
Hello dear people, because of Logic Pro my macOS must always be up-to-date. After a longer break, however, I now want to work with Ableton Live again, because I use the extension possibility with IAC Driver. So far I had Live 9 and now I'm not sure if I should upgrade to Live 10. As far as I underst...

Re: Automation
One way I think you could achieve this is with MIDI loopback. I know this is possible on a Mac but not sure about Windows. Are you using a mac by any chance? Yes, I'm using a macbook pro and a Fireface. Thanks for your answer RoP, you give me hope... I was going to answer MIDI loopback as well. It ...

Re: Automation
I don't think that is possible. Thanks for your answer. What you write is actually the answer that I had feared. Because I don't know that much about the more complex levels of MIDI programming I was a little bit hoping there could be a possibility somehow with sequencer and MIDI messages. When you...

Re: Automation
Oh man, that's tough. Of course it may be because of Christmas. Or maybe I'm at the wrong place here. Or because I put my question too stupid. Or because nobody likes me. Yes, that's probably the reason why nobody wants to answer me...

Automation
Hello Folks, I wish you a Merry Christmas! I am not an Ableton specialist. Especially in the automation of Ableton I'm not so experienced. Rather I feel at home in Logic, but since a while I need a DAW software for my live performances. For that I use Ableton as a software loop station similar to a ...

Re: fireface and no spdif in ableton
All this sound like an audio interface problem and not a Live problem. Stromkraft was right. On the advice in the RME forum I have disabled the TotalMix software of the interface and the interface is switched to direct through (called DAW Mode). Now everything is wonderful. Thank you Guys for your ...

Re: fireface and no spdif in ableton
Hi chrk, thank you for the reply. Because of your advice I made a reset in TotalMix, to be sure no wrong config is blocking. I activated 9/10 in Ableton. Nothing happens... By the way Totalmix itself shows just channel 1- 8 and this ADAT stuff, so I can't assign anything else there. Originally I ass...

fireface and no spdif in ableton
Hi Everybody, I want to record my Kemper SPDIF signal via Fireface UC in Ableton, but I can't find any SPDIF i/o's in the Ableton preferences. With other sources at the analogue side everything functions pretty well in Ableton and on the digital side in the Fireface everything seems to be ok as well...
