I do this to add width to background / high elements.
Doesn't work great on basses, can cause extreme phasing if you're not careful!

Shift + arrow keys.
I personally use the keyboard commands to plot out MIDI arrangements quickly, I place one note with the mouse and use a combination of CTRL + D, Arrow keys and Shift to develop MIDI sequences.
