Im very surprised an ableton rep advised this was safe to do. I have done this and i lost tonnes of project settings and essentially setting me back weeks on my album. waiting for support to help me now.

Hey bro. One way around this is to add whatever effect you want into the returns tracks and then you can batch change the input on each track by highlighting all the tracks! hope this helps
