Group of live drum tracks as template or preset?
Hi. I have a group of audio tracks that represent the input mics for an acoustic drum kit. Each sub-track is an audio track and then it's grouped together with a final EQ/compression effect. When I drag the group over to the User Library, it's saved as a .als, so it's basically an easily accessible ...

Deduplicate plugins
It would be great to have a PLUGINS preference to deduplicate plugins that exist in multiple formats. Like if Arturia installs as VST2, VST3, and AU then I have three of every plugin. I don't want to remove a format completely because it might remove plugins for other vendors. Instead, allow the use...

Re: Following the Sequence?
Thanks so much!
I was scouring the manual for it and could not find it. Now that I search for "page left", I see where it's noted. Thanks again!

Following the Sequence?
Is it possible with the Push 2 (or Push 3) to follow the playhead in Sequencer mode? There's the Follow mode in Live but as far as I can tell that doesn't effect the behavior of the Sequencer on the Push. For me, I have long sequences at slow tempos so it would be awesome to just follow along and ad...

Re: ReArranging Drum rack slots and corresponding midi notes
Anyone ever figure this out? I hacked something up tonight by assigning each Drum Rack slot a Midi Step Sequencer with 1 step into an External Instrument. Then I assigned each drum rack slot's step sequencer note to the triggering midi note that I needed. Seems like total overkill but I haven't figu...

Re: Push Macro to CC
Nevermind. I think I figured it out. I was trying the Learn and Mapping functions, which was not the method. I created an instrument group containing the 8 CC Mapper > External Instrument. Then I right clicked on the CC that I wanted to map and the dropdown gave me an option to "Map to Macro 1....

Push Macro to CC
This is probably an old and common question but I'm asking just in case things have changed in the last couple years. Is it possible to map the knobs on a Push 2 to CC parameters without going into User Mode? I cannot figure out how to assign the Macro Knobs to CC parameters because all the MIDI eff...

Re: Question: CV Drum Rack?
In case anyone else is looking for a similar thing, I sort of solved the problem by creating a large group of MIDI Pitch effects into the CV Instrument. I gave each Pitch effect a Key in the Chain and found the exact pitch I needed to get CV out of the CV Instrument's Pitch in order to select the sa...

Question: CV Drum Rack?
Hi everyone. I've been trying to get something to work between Live and my eurorack setup and I am struggling at finding an elegant solution. I have a hardware module that receives a Gate signal and a CV signal, where the CV controls which sample to play. I want to be able to control that in Live us...

Re: Scene Follower?
I think I found a solution. I edited one of the "Next Scene" buttons in the Grand_Duc device to be "This Scene" and tied my drum trigger to that button. Works Great! So I can rely on Grand_Duc_Display for all the arrangement and then I can use midi-mapping against the actual devi...

Re: Scene Follower?
I played with Grand_Duc all morning and I think I've got something setup that works well... basically right to your suggestion. Thanks. What I really wanted was for Follow Action or Grand Duc to have a set arrangement through the clips and if I trigger a specific Grand Duc track, it would tell Live ...

Re: Scene Follower?
Thanks for the suggestion. I actually was looking at your Grand Duc. It is really cool and super useful. I may just have to figure out how to use it for what I want. I think with some rearranging to my approach, I can get the same behavior from Grand Due and ignoring the Follow Action stuff. But rig...

Scene Follower?
I've been scouring through the maxfordevice.com devices but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a device that will force Live's highlighted scenes to follow a particular track's clips? Like if the first clip is playing, the first scene is highlighted, if I'm using a Follow...

Re: How do i: keep a clip playing while creating a new one?
Thanks for the advice. @ShelLuser, I wasn't able to find a "Select on Play" option anywhere in Ableton and "Launch on Select" (my next closest guess) doesn't seem to change much regarding Push 2 behavior. I think @S4racen is correct. Especially after reading through the available...

How do i: keep a clip playing while creating a new one?
Hi everyone. This is probably a very boring question that's been asked many times but I can't seem to phrase the question such that Google will help me find the answer. I'm trying to get a workflow together for writing on the Push 2. What I'd like to do is, while a sequenced clip is playing, sequenc...
