Just out of curiousity, what board do you have in mind?

There are some more older boards that support it:
Roland A-80, Elka MK55 of MK88, Gem S2 of S3

I've bought an MK55 for €50 euros but I want an MK88...there's one in a store here in the neighborhood, but they ask €450 for it. :D Still think ...

Well I'm no genius, but I'm happy to share what I do know. (or think I know)

I know a bit about PD because I've used it for a number of MIDI mapping tasks in the past. Never got into the audio/video/graphics aspects of it though - not enough time - maybe when I finally have enough money to retire ...

There is a "polytouchin" object as well. It's not properly documented but it has 3 outlets which I guess would be value, note number and channel number from left to right.

But unless you want to map, say, middle C to filter amount, C# to resonance, D to reverb amount and so on I can't see much use ...

Nice! But does this work for poly AT too or only channel pressure (monophonic) aftertouch?

I've payed a lot of money for a 88 key poly aftertouch keyboard and now Ableton Live doesn't seem to support it.

FYI, I tried midi clock sync via midi cable and adjusted the Midi Clock sync delay manually by using the metronome, and it works quite good.

for best results sync both computers to a third external hardware device, such as a drum machine or other sequencer, and then adjust latencies to suit. ymmv

No. As EARLYGRAY already said MIDI sync has nothing to do with audio sync. You don't need any SPDIF interface to have MIDI sync.

I have done midi sync via midi cable many times before but it didn't run tight enough so I was looking for another kind of connection type.
Maybe I should try fixing ...

via preferences midi clock delay setting, it is easy to hear tight sync, with the metronome or other tight percussion sound.... and you should be pretty good!

Aha, I thought you should use the Audio>Latency>Driver Error Compensation> parameter to adjust you overal latency to become 0.

No,
Spdif is a digital audio pipeline, MIDI is something completely different.
Try ethernet....

Make a kick on one system and percussion on another and you can hear they're not synced tight enough. Anybody has some other experiences, or tips?

Doesn't anyone can tell me if this is possible?

Because using midi clock mode in MME isdoesn't seem to be accurate enough to split percussion and kick over 2 computers.
