Re: Notomizer on Ableton?
Mariana of Ableton Support solved this! I think among other routings I almost had this, but probably failed to have both tracks armed as is rerwquired One puts Notomizer on one track, a midi instrument on the other and sets the other [instrument] track's input and sub-input both to the Notomizer ...

Re: Notomizer on Ableton?
The developer adds
"in FL Studio, each VST Wrapper has a settings page, where you can set the internal Midi routing from Port -- (none) to 0-255 [not a Midi Channel, but a Midi device Port!]
That port would then receive or send on any Midi Channel (Omni).

weird sudden latency issue?
One project suddenly developed a latency issue of perhaps 1/4 second. As this disappeared when latency compensation is turned off, I traced it to a track with plugdata which when removed got rid of the latency.
The question is why this track, unchanged in weeks, would suddenly increase latency? The ...

Re: Notomizer on Ableton?
How can we tell what you did wrong if you don't share anything about what you've done?
I guess you are struggling with setting up the two tracks necessary for MIDI plugins to work.
Check the first 4 minutes of this video on how to do so.
Thanks, if Notomizer is working for you on Ableton that ...

Re: Problems correctly setting sidechain in Ewan Bristow's Morph?
solved, you set up the plugdata app in a new midi track, choose the audio source track for the Left of slider in its dropdown [disarm that track so it doesn't play ouside plugdata], arm the other audio source track and set its Out to the plugdata track

If you have MAX, give this a go.

Cheers.
Thanks! Will be giving it a look!

Problems correctly setting sidechain in Ewan Bristow's Morph?
I don't work much with sidechains but have successfully used them in Ableton eg for a compressor, but am not understanding something in use of Ewan Bristow's Morph

Re: separate multiphonic midi track into monophonic parts?
Interesting, thanks! It does seem there is no way to separate eg a Bach 3-part invention midi into 3 tracks except manually.

Re: separate multiphonic midi track into monophonic parts?
Aha, in Pitch you can set pitch range. But since the 4 voices under discussion are not range-limited, this doesn't succeed.,
But thanks for indicating a function I wasn't aware of! But, this has an outcome like manual global selectiion of a range within the midi file in a track, which seems easier ...

Re: separate multiphonic midi track into monophonic parts?
Pitch midi effect only alters pitches? You probably meant something else?
No, the 4 voices don't separate into fixed pitch ranges - if they did I could just copy and paste as new the 4 ranges in turn.
I' looked at M4L devicse and Ableton's MIDI Transformation Tools, not finding anything there yet.

separate multiphonic midi track into monophonic parts?
Is there any way to more easily separate a single 4 part midi track into 4 monphonic tracks, eg SATB? besides going though and deleting unwanted noted thoughout the track 4 times. If not in Ableton, elsewhere? thx

Re: How do I clone my Ableton laptop? Will things work if I do?
I'm far from expert but think you should just back up your My Ableton and My Sounds folders and think they will just copy over to a new computer fine. Software on a new computer often needs to be reauthorized so I agree with previous poster, many vsts will require reinstall.

Re: import midi clip from one project to Session View
Thanks for your reply. Win 11 desktop, Live 11 Suite. But contents of tracks in other als do not drag onto Session View as I understand you to say. Dragging a track from there to Session View loads only the midi instruments and midi and audio effects from the source track to the new Session track ...
