Re: Girls and Electronic Music....

Sorry mate, but saying "I know some brilliant intelligent girls" (making music or not), is for me an acceptance that it is a kind of exception... again, sorry if I offended you, really didn't meant to. cheers No worries. I did not mean it as an exception any more than it is an exception f...

Re: Drumatrix ! New drum synth from image line

To be fair, both Drumatrix and Tattoo are trying for different things that MT.

I might pick up Tattoo at some point, but that still will not replace MT, they have a different goal and sound.

Re: Drumatrix ! New drum synth from image line

It makes some new sounds, some of which are nice. But the UI is fidgetty as hell, and the sequencer just seems tacked on.

I think I will stick to either microtonic or operator racks for drum synths for now.

Re: cue funtion for macbook.

You only have L & R out without adding an audio interface. You could still use one side for the main and one for cueing if you wanted though.

Re: Girls and Electronic Music....

You don't know me at all, yet you assume to write my story from 6 words. I was replying to other people's assertions and the previous statements made in this thread that female musicians can not be these things. Why not attack all of the blatant, actually sexist comments here? I have met awesome, in...

Re: Girls and Electronic Music....

I have met awesome, intelligent girl musicians. Recently met one that was getting into modular synthesis with a G2, not a vapid dj or an acoustic folk singer, or tom boy or any otherstereo type we might conjure. I think girls not wanting to deal with forums is more about forums and about guys always...

Really, there are a few cool things, just nothing I want. (Waiting for nice tablets to run TouchOsc!)

I wish they (or Korg) would make a nano sized 16 rotary with visuals bus powered device.

Re: Tattoo , the new microtonic ?

Microtonic is its own thing of beauty and is not replaced by anything else.
That being said, I will add Tattoo alongside Microtonic, samples, and Operator drum synths.

Re: [updated with video] Mod sequencer for LP & M4L

I guess you could record to arrange and then drag it back to session?

Who else has record modulation in session as their #1 request? (besides stability)

Re: Another Reason Why The iPhone RULES

FYI - The version of Looptastic in that video has some new (cool) features not found in the current version.

I wrote the dev and asked them about it and they said if you pay $10 for the current version of producer, you get the updated version for free.

Really nice!

Is there any way Ableton can record this sequencer's output in session?

Re: Another Reason Why The iPhone RULES

I think it's a really nice interface. Some times you have to think past the cheesey house demos (apologies to all the cheesey house djs here)and think about loading up your iTouch with a bunch of noise and found sound and running it through some effects = instant fun!
