Thanks, I'll have a look at the set up on each machine and do as you say.
Cheers

Best way to set up for VSTs & Packages
Maybe a bit of a newbie question. What is the best way to set Ableton up for using VSTs and Packages? I have a couple of machines and would like to mirror setups, one has an external SD hard drive , I use some orchestral plugins/collections - which take up a fair bit of storage. Any advice on trying...

Thanks I'll have a go.
Feels a bit un-intuitive running audio through a clip!

Automating Effects on a Live Performance
Hi, I need some advice.
I'm playing an acoustic instrument live - it's around a 4 min section.
I want to have some effects on the sound of the instrument.
Is there a way to automate this in Live, so that I as I play different effects come in?
Cheers

Re: Surround Panner rendering
Hi memory9, What happens if you go to >File >Export Audio/Video > (on the menu) Rendered Track = All Individual Tracks. I think that this should give you what you want - a series of files. I think that 8 speaker systems can use: 4 lots of stereo, or 8 mono. Depends on how things are configured. Some...

Playing notes and sequences with a dial - controller
Is it possible to play notes, or control sequences of notes with a (physical) dial in Ableton?
I just want to use a simple controller with 6 knobs and faders, but would like to control note values, or sets of notes with the dials.
Any Max for Live Devices or simple ways to do this?
Thanks

Re: Speech Marker Plugin - Arrangement View
It looked like as the track played through there were 'spoken' markers.
Markers were read out

Re: Trigger next/random midi clip with ONE pad
Did anything ever come out of this conversation.
Looking for something where I can experiment with a set of midi and audio clips, and run them randomly.
Sure this has been done, would like to delve a bit deeper into this sort of thing, but need to get up to speed with MAX/MSP

Re: 1 midi 'note on' to trigger sequence. Is it possible?
So I can see that triggering a clip is possible from one midi 'note on'.
Is it possible to trigger a clip be playing a sequence?
For example could I play the set of notes in a certain order/way to start another clip?
