[…]as I’ve come across a good few bits of gear that demand 48kHz or have some anomalies in 44.1
You’re not going to use the move as an audio interface on that mentioned hardware, right?
Indeed, that would not be possible. I mentioned that as the reason why in the past I migrated from 44.1 ...

Re: sequencing and nudging steps - 0-100% seems confusing
Well I didn't expect to fall into another trap with the shift function less than two hours after posting my last reply!
I recorded a beat 100% live by tapping in the pads. Groove was fairly good. Took a couple goes to capture n micro shifted things by a couple percent here and there. As can be the ...

Re: sequencing and nudging steps - 0-100% seems confusing
This really does need a change in how it works. I agree with how you were expecting it to work - rushed notes should remain on their intial step up to a certain amount. -1 to like -49% is one way of looking at it but I guess it could be less than that, something like maybe -9% ? So then a swung step ...

Anyone know if 44.1kHz only is a hardware limitation?
This was about the only Move spec I overlooked before buying. I’ve slowly been migrating to 48kHz as I’ve come across a good few bits of gear that demand 48kHz or have some anomalies in 44.1 so it’d be really helpful if the Move added support for 48kHz sample rate.

Bar sync'd sampling needed (auto punch in/out)
As it stands we initiate recording by choosing (pressing) the pad to which we want to record. Then it seems there's some auto detect transient going on that assumes the first transient is the beginning of your sample. If your sample has some dead air at the beginning then you need to roll back the ...

Re: Feature Request - 32 pad Drum Rack for Move - all pads are samples
It won't happen. Drum Racks on the Move are limited to 16 pads / sounds because each sound can be re-pitched using the 16 Pitches mode, which is using MPE Pitchbend parameter. MPE is based on MIDI channels, of which there are 16, not 32.
In that case I would settle for spreading the 16 pads ...

Re: Is Ableton Move's Audio In port balanced
I get the same issue with noise, I’m pretty sure it’s coming from the dirty supply on my USB-C hub as that’s where the powers coming from. It’s not a ground loop hum, it’s loads of noise.
Funny you should say that as I wondered whether a decent wall powered USB hub might circumvent it. I'd like ...

Re: Is Ableton Move's Audio In port balanced
I don't believe it is balanced. In fact whilst having the Move connected to my Macbook Air via USB and then connecting the Macbook's headphone out to the Move's input I get a horrible ground loop. Solved it with a Palmer Line Isolating box which is a bit bulky so I intend to pick up one of these ...

Yep big time would like this too, first thing I listed in the drum tracks thread.

Re: The Drum Racks thread
2. Adjustable velocity to amplitude we need obvs although the pads do seem very well scaled from literally a finger weight tap up to my normal strike n then I really have to intentionally whack to get the top velocities. Best pads I've used in this regard.

Discontinuity in negatively nudged steps Standalone <-> Control Mode
So there's a couple of schools of thought on this one and I appreciate the Move designers may have a different idea of how it should/needs to work than I. I'm coming from FXpansion Geist's graph lanes and how that program deals with micro shifted notes. In any case there is a discontinuity from Move ...

The Drum Racks thread
Thought I'd start this one up to get us going.
I've loaded in my first break and done a bit of manual chopping and the first few things have come up.
1. Only 16 pads for now - Would love to be able to lay samples all the way horizontally to be able to nicely rest 8 fingers across the pads on two ...
