POD Farm 2.5 plugin not jiving with newer Live 10 updates.
As the title says, pod farm 2.5 not working correctly. Will run perfectly for about 10 minutes and freeze Live 10 up. From troubleshooting, the only thing I have noticed is that live also kicks my sound card (Focusrite Scarlette) off as well. Any help would be super appreciated. Thanks.

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
bummer. i'm assuming you already went the uninstall-reinstall route. if you haven't, that's the last trick i can think of before it gets back to hoping the Abes find the cause. having said that, i'm not surprised that it helped. too bad it wasn't an extra 25-35% though :(
Did a comp...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
as far as a cause for this issue goes... that sounds like a good one. if a cache is too full you often get odd behavior. this is true of temporary internet files too, which is a good every day example of a similar issue. i would not be surprised at all if this change fixes the issue for you buj818 ...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
All of these posts about 8/10 performance differences makes me think we really need some improved ways/tools to evaluate Live performance. . Agreed. They way I feel is if your machine meets/exceeds Live 10 requirements, there should be no reason so many are having the same problem. Being there is, ...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
Ableton CPU constantly reading in the 80-95% range still. TM CPU usage still only peaking around 37%. TM? Same here. Unexplainable cpu spikes. When playing stuff and Live 10 uses 10 to 20 % CPU at one moment, it just starts jumping from 50 to 80 % the other with no reason. I'm also having this exac...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
Just ran an even log in my OS. Last update was Feb 27th, which was a week before I installed Live 10. Other than the OS and ableton on my computer, all I have installed on it is burning software, a document folder containing music info, and a small music library. My audio interface is up to date. Th...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
TM = Task Manager in Windows 10.. sorry, was typing lazily. Ha. I could see the point of labor intensive plugins/vsts being an issue if the problem has been since day 1. I've had and been using live 10 standard daily for 3 weeks and all of a sudden, BOOM! CPU usage through the roof!

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
I have no antivirus installed, only the Windows Defender that has been disabled since Day 1 of owning the machine. I do not use it for internet. I just sent Ableton a very detailed report, along with all crash reports and specs of my computer. Hoping they answer quickly. Ill be sure to post all info...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
Constantly there. Using 0.1% CPU and 15.2 MB of ram. Don't think that's the issue (number speaking). Ableton CPU constantly reading in the 80-95% range still. TM CPU usage still only peaking around 37%. Just took a project, 3 midi tracks and 4 audio tracks, and stripped them all of their plugins. Ba...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
My CPU settings are already set to Max for performance. I just went back in to verify everything. I noticed in Task Manager under Ableton, a process called Ableton index. Is that necessary? I never recalled seeing that process during testing before. Thanks for the replies.

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
I been keeping up with this thread thinking man, im glad i dont have this problem! Well, it hit me tonight, and hit me hard. A few projects, some 2 track, some up to 9 tracks, all exibit the same CPU usage behavior. Beginning of song, 45-53%, peak of song, 70-90% with crackling then going passed 103...

Re: Rendered Volume LOW
On the Master, in order, are Eq3, Eq eight, Red 3 compressor, and Limiter. Every other track has an Eq eight attached with minor changes. The biggest difference in the Master channel, after switching compressors, is that my sound is actually bigger with only a 2.10db gain. Using abletons compressor,...
