I've never experienced a file changing after saving. However, I can imagine that real time effects in sufficient number might be sensitive to where you start the song from.
Freeze and flatten all the tracks, then save as another song, then reload and see what happens.

Re: Computer Specs.
Not a fast CPU, but increasing the buffer size should solve the immediate issue. It will introduce a lot of latency for recording though.

Re: Multi Clip Editing
Ah, I did misunderstand. Or more specifically, didn't read it closely enough. That would be nice.

Re: Occasional noise burst that creeps into the recording
Not a third-party plug-in that isn't happy? Some make noise if they're not registered or the like. Never heard a thud though...

Re: Color Picker for Tracks and Clips
I think Ableton considers that an proprietary artistic privilege. Not arguing against it mind you, but don't hold your breath. There's https://www.livethemes.co. I don't know if it works with the newer versions of Live (I think so) and you're still limited in the number of colors you can use, but th...

Re: Master/Slave Midi clips
I've seen this more often referred to as ghost, linked or replica clips. Personally, I'd go with replicant! A long-standing feature request that could be very handy.

Re: Multi Clip Editing
This is because of the way that Live handles clips which are actually windows showing part of what could be a much larger audio file. This allows you to scroll through and adjust the start/end markers. Something I used to do for comping. It could turn into a lengthy mess if you're trying to fit othe...

Duplicate the clip on a new track, select both for editing and you can offset to your heart's content.

Scale options disappear with drum rack inserted. Err...
Okay, at first thought this might seem to make a lot of sense, as drums don't generally follow a scale. However... I (and many others as I didn't invent the trick) use drum racks in an instrument rack to provide labels for multi-articulation instruments in Kontakt that show where the key switches ar...

Re: Is there a way to see your mix while you are mixing?
If you're only interested in EQ, the Spectrum audio effect will let you see the relative balance of frequencies. As to stereo placement, I seem to remember there being plugins for that, though I can't name any off hand.

Re: "Note that tags have replaced folder groups within the browser’s category labels."
How useful tagging is completely depends on the amount of "stuff" you have. If you don't have massive amounts, there are better ways.

Live's continuing memory lapses
The most recent example of these that's been bugging me is that the program doesn't remember the previous zoom level of clips or where you were in editing them. Want to select another clip for comparison, listen to it, then pick up where you left off? Oops, you're right back at the beginning of the ...

Re: Problem with Ableton, connect guitar to input 1 and get sound on all the channels.
Weird. I mistook the issue in my first message. Look for an updated driver/control panel, or reinstall if it's already the latest. You can also try audio/midi devices and try redefining the MiniFuse. Never used that interface, so I don't know the software. Good luck!

Re: Static builds during playback
Again. The audio on most laptops is more than capable of keeping up. Maybe not fidelity wise, but certainly in performance. Check the buffer size!
