Have you looked at M4L devices ? There might be one for your synth - with pre mapped CCs that you can save and resend to your synth.

That's what I'm using too, they are good and quite transparent. The M70 are even better but more expensive.

You need to output the MIDI notes to a different track : create a new MIDI track (track B) and set the MIDI input from your actual instrument track (track A, where you set you arp plugin), record a new clip in track B while playing the track A clip : you the get all the actual notes. I agree with the 4-5 years lifecycle mentioned here, that's pretty much what I think - so late 2018 or 2019 - and I'm pretty sure they are already working on it because it takes time to innovate and design / prototype this kind of product.
