Seems that I didnt get a concept here...
I'm talking about the session view:
I have a clip for drums. I use it 2 times in 2 consecutive scenes.

Re: Start a clip by a midi controller message
Solved the problem with "Tom Cosm - MIDI Note to Any Clip Slot Trigger 1.1 ".
Works great! Thanks Tom Cosm!
I spent weeks now to find out how to use Ableton to make perfect backing treacks with varying drum during Solo and I wonder about it.
Thought there would be lots of users wanna do just this ...

Newbie: can I create M4L applications in Abelton Suite?
...I mean: can I create and save them, when I'm owner of AS?
I thought so, but never used it.
Ableton Suite tells me: You can create your own tools or rebuild existing ones...
I own AS9.
But when I execute M4L (also from AS) it tells me: Trial expired, Saving disabled?

ClyphX users here?
Hi
I wanted to jump in session view via ClyphX to a group of drum clips far down.
I love X-Trigger, because as I need it with (lseq) he does it just once.
But X-Trigger has a big latency - so I get an audio gap. Thats not the way.
Is it also possible with X-button without latency?

Re: writing a batch of commands and trigger it
The clyphX Forum is closed because they sell ClyphX Pro now.
I doubt that I need it. Just need that one command.
Is there the chance to discuss with someone who is experienced in Clyph X?

Re: writing a batch of commands and trigger it
OK I tried clyphX.
But it has huge latency in its commands...?
I mean, when I excute the command PLAY, it needs a feww hundred milliseconds to start.
that means, I'm out of synchronizity and I have an audio gap?

writing a batch of commands and trigger it
Hi
is it possible to trigger a number of commands like
scene down
scene down
scene down
scene launch
...via external midi controller?
Moreover: is it possible to include an if-then-else condition like this?
var flage==0
When "scene launch' appears and flag=0
then start clip(name)
set flag ...

OK
I did all the tests
My audio buffer is at 512
The DCP test was most time under 1000ms, ocacionally between 1000 and 2000.
cpu usage was under 7% during the test
But the latency monitor told me interesting things:

Re: Make one instrument independent from scene launch?
Hi Pottering
This sounded like a good idea, but it fails too.
In the moment I use only ONE drums "collumn" (how is this called in Ableton...instrument?)
So while the scene keeps the same the drum variations want to move vertically by "follow action"
But the "scene launche command force them to ...

Hi jestermgee
Thank you for the advise and the tools
The drive is a 500GB SSD
Is there a protocol where i can see the CPU usage? As I mentioned: I play during that time an instrument. When errors arrived I never had the time and the coolness to loook for the cpu usage in that moment :-(

Re: Make one instrument independent from scene launch?
Hi chrk
THanks for your answer!
Yes...already tried this.
But it doesnt work.
Guess the main Problem is the starting point.
I try to describe it more detailed:
example:
I play live instruments with using Abletton as my band.
lets consider a very easy song structure.

For my live rig I made a heads up display for my laptop using Max. It just shows the current tempo, what my controllers are doing, status info etc. I can touch it and change parameters if I really want to but mostly its info display. I use hardware for pressing buttons and turning dials.
