Example: with a 128-notes scale routed back to Live you can make thousands assignments in a minute.
Got a set-up with 4 tracks and 100 scenes last year, with this method I mapped 400 clips in just ...

Clip Envelopes routing
In Track 1 play a clip.
Route Track 1 Audio To Track 2
In Track 2 play an empty audio clip with some mixer envelopes.
Et voilà: clips from Track 1 will play with envelopes of Track 2.
You can play 1 clip with many envelopes or many clips with the same envelope!

If yes, they are a step from the Live automation via scripting.
So my wish is: scripting Live like you script Adobe InDesign via JavaScript or ...

Try to raise the sound in the middle of the pan, and then play a lot with frequencies, expecially with the bass. It seems very good but many other sound "eat" its frequencies. This is why you ear different sound from different players.

Who's tracing the future of composition
Saw the preview of Cubase SX on Steinberg's site.

BUT
They (Steinberg) can. They need 6 months to do what Ableton and Raw Material did in ...
