In Track 2 play an empty audio clip with some mixer envelopes.

Et voilà: clips from Track 1 will play with envelopes of Track 2.

yes I use i both with Mac an PCs. Don't know about the number of scene it can launch. I have the 58 keys version and I tried to push max 3-4 keys at the same time.

Anyhow it can be used with dedidcated driver OR with permanent rom setup, so you can ove it from one machine to another.

XKeys people are the great. I own an XKeys for graphic design. I can assign every combinations to keys, change caps color, stick labels on caps and so on. You can assign mouse clicks to keys, too.
Doing lot of pages in InDesign everyday, my work is really improved with this stuff.

It's a good work. The only problem is to much stereo effect.
Try to raise the sound in the middle of the pan, and then play a lot with frequencies, expecially with the bass. It seems very good but many other sound "eat" its frequencies. This is why you ear different sound from different players.

Well, they picked up the best of Live (time stretching) and Tracktion (in-place midi editing).

I say the sound quality of Cubase is probably better than Live
