Simply select a bunch of clips and drag them into one of your folders in the Browser. Live will create a file containing all the clips. Drag this file back into any Session to (re)import this group of clips.
Tried it step-by-step and it wouldn't work.
I made the folder in my "current Project ...

Grouping clips in Session view
Can ya? ;)
I work a lot like a studio of old;
I Create clips in Lives Session view from recordings, MIDI etc,.
I would like to be able to select a group of clips, "group" them,
and then move them around like a single object (oriented programming!)
which would make final arrangements in Lives ...

Re: Please help Ableton Live suite 10
A question and some thoughts...
Does Live’s displayed tempo change when whatever is going wrong happens?
[EDIT]
A pitch and speed change might be explained by a change in the sample rate - if so then all tracks should be equally affected. This can happen if Windows tries to take over the audio ...

Re: Post your most obscure Ableton Live knowledge
I just learnt you can edit the text window for Lives clips as well as well as Live’s tracks. Quite useful for adding info...
I just "lernt" this myself a bit ago Greg! Same way too...
Stumbled on it while I was wishing for it! (Sub-Menu)
My challenge with the manual is usually nomenclature but ...

Re: Using sends & Returns
It's also possible to chain group pads so you can apply the same insert to a group of pads to save loading up so many effects. Well worth youtubing and spending some time investigating as there is a lot of power and options in the drum rack.

Re: Using sends & Returns
Now I have
Live10 Std., and have unlimited sends / returns!!!
Twelve to be exact...
Damn! I must have read the Suite stats on that one.
Well, twelve is more than enough for now, since I still don't really
understand exactly WHY (or how) to use them anyway, except now (Mix wet/dry)
I do know ...

Thanks Gregwaah!Gregwaah wrote:If I wanted to EQ a track, I would just place an EQ plugin on that track. I wouldn't use a send/return for this, as you'll have a dry and a wet sound playing together.
Yep you're right and there's times I might want to do exactly that though.
This though is not one of them!

Using sends & Returns
(See Live10 manual: 1.2.8 )
When I was using the "Intro" version of Live I didn't have this problem;
I only had two sends, and they were already in use! lol! Now I have
Live10 Std., and have unlimited sends / returns!!!
SO I have one thing I really want to do BADLY which is this;
I've learned ...

I bring them to quality festivals. Works nicely.

I'm in the USA and we do have many sponsored events, instrument &
equipment mfgr's, software and hardware retailers and off/online
publication contests and many more inspired by local artists.
These are like both competitions ...

Thank you jlgrimes & doghouse...
Very wise and W I D E array of conditions should get me to a
"Best overall" mix... Hey nobody told me this stuff was going

of us here that gets excited about doing "easy" things I'd bet...

Re: Group tracks to keep mixer sliders free of gain automation
I'm STILL grouping any track that contains VOLUME automation,
BUT... I'm using the utility on the "nested" track to get around
the fact that the group track will have it's slider set @ 0db.
There are also racks where each chain has its own level control and can popup with a fader in the mixer ...
