Re: How do you record electric guitar into Ableton?
What audio inputs does Live show as available? There is literally no way that the audio setup on your PC should automatically mix the built-in mike with whatever is plugged into the input jack. Check your audio control panel!! I am plugging the guitar into the microphone jack on the side of the lap...

Re: How do you record electric guitar into Ableton?
If you're recording into Live, it's good to know that you can only record from one source. So if you're using a jack etc in your input port, you can record from that, and it will not or even be able to record from the mic at the same time, too...only the source you've set in audio prefs. thank you ...

How do you record electric guitar into Ableton?
Please try to read all... I don't want to buy an interface so I was wondering if there's a way. I took a class once that used Logic and for that I needed a USB dongle that had a little input jack the size of a standard earbuds jack like on a phone or an iPod. Anyway, with that you would just plug yo...

Re: Transposition Automation in Live 8 Intro
in live 8 you can display automation via the box below the track name by selecting "show automation".. or you can expand the track height and then select + i see now though youre using live intro.. perhaps this function isnt available in that version I know. But that doesn't seem to work ...

Re: Transposition Automation in Live 8 Intro
in the arrangement view, underneath the track name, there are two boxes with small triangles. there you'll find your automated parameters marked red Unfortunately that isn't the case. I tried that. Have you tried it? Try transposing an audio clip and then try to locate the red line graph or whateve...

Transposition Automation in Live 8 Intro
Hi. When I automate transpose then switch to arrangement view I can't find any automation on my clip. I'm using Live 8 Intro. So I've basically put a pre-recorded clip on an audio track, let it loop, record it, and then play with the transposition control knob while it's recording. It makes the voca...

Live 8 Intro Automation - Curving the Lines
Quick question. I'm trying to curve the automation in Live's arrangement view after recording some automation on MIDI I drew into piano roll, and it won't let me adjust the curvature. I can add and remove breakpoints to get smooth lines but then when I want to make them sweep up or drop out, I can't...

Re: Can you categorise this "music" ?
I have trouble categorizing music sometimes. it's like this new Christopher Lawrence album I was listening to about an hour ago while doing some walking. I was thinking about it and I couldn't decide what genre I would call it. Typically, I would say, "Christopher Lawrence is trance." but ...

Using Win7 but those features are also there. All at 100%. Am trying Process Lasso again to keep an eye on things.

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
Live 10 still spike-ing out the CPU meter and producing audio glitches. I stripped my live set down and no change. The spikes tend to start after 20 minutes or so. Got some 32 bit VSts being jbridged - each instance of which, according to process lasso, uses up CPU. I use a lot of long delays and f...

Re: latency issue
Hello, I recently had a drummer create a track for my song. He sent me the track as a WAV file and I dropped it in and it sounded great. However as the song progressed the drum beat no longer matched my song. I tried to move the track but no matter what I did I could not get it to line up. It's lik...
