+1 It's not a mistake. Live started as an live performance tool and it's intended and important for this purpose. But I found that this can be frustrating working with lots of time signature changes. No dead easy way. But explore draw mode, and using grooves for velocity. Not arguing with the idea. There could be more MIDI functions.

Live already has draw tool, doesn't it? I don't think it will be against the current behaviour. I agree to the point to keep away from having bunch of tools. Using a modifier + right click might be a good option.

use an audio effect rack with two chains. dry and reverb.

Sometimes I'd like to make a ramp keeping the relative values and there is no easy way for this. I have to manually tweak every note.

Both your suggestions indicate that perhaps you should spend a bit more time with the very well written users guide. good tip, but still not easy if you want to trim the end. this is the point where a knife tool or note split command can be useful.
