Export tempo map
Anybody know how to export a tempo map as a midi file so I can import to Pro Tools? I have gradual changes drawn in so it would be much easier to export and import a map vs entering the map manually in Pro Tools.

Re: Link playback heads in arrangment timeline and clip editor
There should be a toggle button that allows you to link playback head location in the main arrangement timeline and the clip editor area so spacebar plays back from whatever location you selected last in either arrangement timeline or clip editor. This way you can press spacebar to play from an are...

Re: Bounce songs with click
You can offline bounce with the click on in Pro Tools in about 3 seconds and it already has the accents on the downbeats. And you can change the subdivisions if needed with 2 mouse clicks instead of reprogramming a drum track. Programming the click on a drum track seems like an inconvenient workaro...

Re: Bounce songs with click
Just curious: why would you want that? And I don't think you can do so, but make a simple drumtrack with the click on it...... Because the artist asked for it. Its a reference to help them write over a section with solo syncopated piano. You can offline bounce with the click on in Pro Tools in abou...

Re: Create multiple tracks shortcut
in most cases we are talking about setting up a new session quickly, right? creating lots of new tracks in an existing session is really an edge case. IMO setting up multiple template sets is the way to go. it's actually more useful since you can also have all your favourite settings, routings and ...

Re: Create multiple tracks shortcut
Yeah but Live is Live, not Pro tools so you need to adjust how you work, not expect the software to match your expected usage based on another software. In the same way I don't suggest on the Pro Tools forum they need a Clip View like Live has or more flexible internal MIDI routing from track to tr...

Re: Create multiple tracks shortcut
In Pro Tools you can press command+shift+n to open a new track dialog, the number of tracks box is already highlighted so you can just start typing a number, then command+left/right arrow toggles channel configuration (mono, stereo, LCR, LCRS, Quad, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0 SDDS, 7.1 SDDS, 7.0, 7.1, ...

Re: Extract chains w/ arrangement view notes and automation
Is there any way to extract drum rack chains in a way that includes the notes and automation from arrangement view? The default behavior seems to use the notes from clip view on the new tracks and doesn't preserve my arrangement or any automation I did. While we're at it, can you extract all the dr...

Re: Different swing settings on individual notes within 1 clip
Thanks man, I know you can achieve this by splitting the tracks. I am asking if there is a way to do this within 1 clip like you can in Pro Tools, Logic, and Digital Performer.miyaru wrote:You can achieve this by giving each drumpart his own track. Re: Swing settings on individual notes within 1 clip
This what grooves are for. Grooves are not "swing", even though some of the groove files coming with Live may only be one bar long — most are longer I think — and affect every second note. As grooves can have many bars you can have the displacement happen in just one bar...

Change zoom shortcuts to T and R
+ and - for zoom forces you to lift your hand. T and R, like in Pro Tools, would allow you to zoom in and out quickly without lifting either hand. Way faster for production work flow.
