personally, I like the E-Lab stuff. They dont make drum sample CD's per se but they always include an excellent selection of hits. Check out Smokers Delight 3 disc set (mostly construction kits and loops but the one shot samples are really good) and Nu Directions (same deal).

hmmm... i thought I articulated my question fine ....but apparently not. another example.....If I automate the frequency of a lowpass filter in the arrangement I can lower the frequency until only the lowest sub frequencies are heard. If I use the clip automation to lower the frequency I CANT close ...
