I agree Fanu. Think we should use the proper terminology for Ableton. Nothing wrong with specificity.
Automation and Modulation are two different things.

I do a lot of clip envelope modulation and midi editing in session view.
Being able to use key command to toggle between midi editing and envelope editing (or hiding the envelope box) would be so much fun for me!
