Whole-heartedly agree.
Many DAWs like PreSonus StudioOne nail this perfectly.
Ableton, by contrast, feels like Windows 95

I desperately wish that plugins were handled as they are in PreSonus StudioOne 5 Professional. They let you set multiple folders for where your plugins are located. seriously.. a multiple folder feature is so needed these days. Name one reason. Not every VST Plugin Manufacturer gives you the option to set what folder they land in. For example, WAVES. Of those that give you no option, not all of them go to the same folder. Ergo why EVERY DAW but Ableton has the...
