Re: Does the Akai MIDImix give LED Feedback when remapping?

Hey, I know still is a super old message. But I found a pretty easy way to do this. You have to use Bome Midi Translator. Setup an Virtul input on BMT (virtual 1). Then set the output in Ableton preferences to BMT virtual 1. This way Ableton can send midi data to Bome. Now make a preset in Bome and ...

Re: Ableton Live 11 Looper Quantization bug?

As fast as I know the overdub has always been instant. I think it's great for adding on small notes here and there.

Re: Live 11 Remote Script

Thanks. Too bad this isn't implemented yet.

Of course you can jump to the next macro rack. But what I'm talking about is using more than 8 macros in one rack, the new Live11 feature.

Re: Live 11 Remote Script

Does anyone know if all 16 macros are working yet in the scripts? Maybe using a custom user script?

Thinking of upgrading but the 16 macros mapping feature is my main reason to.

Thanks.

Re: Convert a Clip to Simpler without Push 2?

Yeah, that's just using the mouse. I don't like the dragging mouse part of if. Plus you'll need the Device View open. When you automate the steps I said it is a simple button click. Pretty cool I think. But I dragging works for you do that of course. Just sharing another option. :)

Re: Convert a Clip to Simpler without Push 2?

Double post. So, another cool trick is getting a midi controller with endless rotary knobs. Map one of the knobs to Right arrow (clockwise) and Left arrow (counterclockwise). Now you can select any parameter in Ableton and control it with that one knob. You only have to select it and then turn the k...

Re: Convert a Clip to Simpler without Push 2?

Hey, I know this is an old thread, but maybe somebody still reads this stuff. I found a pretty cool and quick way to get an audio clip into a Simpler. It does involde a mouse but only for a very short time. 1. Hover your mouse over the clip you want to go in the Simpler. 2. Right click, Show in Brow...

Insert a midi clip from Browser with Enter command

Like the title says, I'd like to use Enter to insert a selected midi clip in the Browser to the selected track. If you do that now it opens the clip as a new project.

Maybe another shortkeys for inserting it (Shift+Enter for example) and Enter for open as project?

@jonljacobi: Yeah, that's what I meant. It works in Session View but not in Arrangement View somehow. :?

View midi clip while overdubbing

Hi all, Not sure if this can be done or that I need to put in a feature request: I'd like to overdub notes of a looped midi clip in arrangement view and still view the clip with the notes in it. In session view that's possible with the overdub button. Like in this video: https://youtu.be/4auPj7yQ3uY...

Recording sustained notes instead of pedal on/off

Hi everybody, quick question: Edit: This is not a question about the problem of notes sustaining. I understand how to edit the pedal on/off messages. Edit 2: I don't have max4live. When using a sustain pedal and a keyboard to record some midi notes it's pretty anoying to edit the sustain pedal on/of...
