How to stop Abl. sending cc midi clip content when clicking
I setup a midi clip that sends the cc address 105 at 127 value using the clip envelope. It works ok and when the playhead rolls through the envelope the cc values are sent. I can see it firing with a midi monitor on the same track. Trouble is that that cc message is sent also if the transport is sto...

Re: Arrangement loop different punch loop?
... Punch in and out are tied to the loop in Live. Is this still true today with Live 11? (Usually, to make the best use of comping we need the ability to set a recording section shorter that the playback looping section and placed independently from the other). If yes, will it be like that with 12...

Android tablet with custom made remote control with synced visual feedback (MIDI & OSC)
Almost a year ago I was looking for an hardware or software remote to control Live from the "singer" place, in front o f the mic. Being unable to find all the things I was looking for to build a remote control on an Android tablet, the last august I started learning Max from scratch and I ...

Auto bass in real time from audio (guitar)?
I would like to be able to have Live to play an octave lower note - audio or MIDI (better), while I play a note on the acoustic guitar in fingerpicking, but only if the frequency - or the note (better) of the audio input is within a certain range. In fact, I'm trying to find a way to "create&qu...

Am I setting up my levels right?
After reading around for a while I think I understand how I should set my hardware and software gear to get the best most appropriate level setting when recording with a microphone, but I still have some doubt on the software part of the matter so let me check a couple of things with people that sur...

A way to copy takes selection to another track
With two mikes I recorded several takes of vocals on two tracks at once. Let's called them A and B. Then I made the comping on track A. Now, is there a way to copy the takes selection from track A to track B without having to do it manually? I mean the sequence of takes in the main lane, something l...

Re: How to A/B a mixdown
I do something similar but maybe quicker to setup. I render the unmixed before I start mixing or even some mixed 1, 2, etc if I want to save different mixing stages, and put it in a "before" track. All the tracks to be mixed - even the returns, are routed to a premaster track (where I can ...

Live 11.1 is more stable than 11.0?
Until now I haven't updated because I'm always afraid that newer releases can be less stable than the one in use.
Now I'm considering to update my 11.0 to, at least 11.1 or even 11.1.5: do you mind sharing your experience, please?
Thanks.

Reset locators numbering to start again from 1
I create a few locators, let's say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, then I delete them all. Now if I create a new one, I would like to start again from number 1: is there a way to reset the locators counter? Or maybe with Clyphx to store the value of any new locator into auser variable the will retain the number of t...

Create a named locator, directly or via Clyphx
Is there a way to create a locator with a specific name?
Maybe via Clyphx? It would be nice to have something like: SETLOC X where "X" would be a name.
But hopefully there is some other way...
Thanks.

Set Loop Start at cursor
I wonder if there is such a function and if it is mappable with MIDI or OSC or if there is a keyboard shortcut.
Or if one can do it with Clyphx. Or any other workaround to be able to fire it from a remote controller.
Thanks.

Re: Project Elsa: Maybe the Most Powerful Ableton Live Production System
Hi, nice presentation of a lot of work and imagination: well done! I wonder how many different tools you had to learn to use to get there. And I wonder if you have encountered and solved some little problems and how many workarounds you had to think of, every now and then, on the path to your projec...

Crossfader MIDI mapping problem
I've setup a layout with OSC to drive Live 11 from there, while tracking or jamming. I would like to map the two "spots" "A" and "B" of the master crossfader but till now I've been unable to do it. First I tried setting the keys 1 and 3 to the two buttons, and it works....

Re: The Clyphx Tricks and Tips Thread
Yes, that's what I'm doing now. Digging a little deeper in the ClyphX manual I found out that the SETSTOP command works non as just a stop but as a stop/play toggle so in my userSettings.txt I stripped away the SETSTOP ; STOPALL;B2A stuff. I assigned the TouchOSC Bridge input to the ClyphX surface c...

Launching X-clips without affecting transport.
Until now I have created many X-Clip actions to easily set up Live for different scenarios of tracking and listening. BEFORE I hit rec or play I launch an X-Clip by clicking on its play icon on the dummy midi clips in session view. Every time I do that the playback starts for half a second then stop...
