Re: exiting full screen mode
That's strange, if I'm in full screen mode and go to top of screen the menu items appear as expected and I can exit full screen mode via View. I'm running Live 11.2 on a MacBook Pro M1 with Monterey. I can also exit using the shortcut control+command+F.

Re: MIDI automation in Session View
Hiya, we automate sends with our band using ClyphX Pro and/or M4L. If you don't have M4L there is a workaround but it's a bit cumbersome, and doesn't use Return Tracks: 1. Add an Audio Effect Rack to your guitar track 2. Create a chain for each of your patches, adding the required devices. 3. Set ea...

Re: How to stop Ableton from autoplaying the Minilogue's sequencer when I hit play?
There's a setting on the Korg, I think it's in its Global Edit settings, try setting En Rx Transport to Off. The manual definitely covers it, but it isn't obvious that it refers to your issue.
I hope that helps.

Re: Live Looping Audio On The Fly?
There's quite a lot of YT videos about looping in Ableton e.g Binkbeats, and tutorials about how to use the looper e.g. Seed to Stage. Ed Sheeran uses Ableton for his live shows so it's definitely possible!

Re: TD-17 and Drum Rack
Hi, I feel your pain. I have a TD17 and tried to do the same as you and found that the TD17 and Drum rack just didn't want to be friends: there was irregular latency which made aligning/quantizing really time-consuming; difficulties mapping things like the hi-hat pedal and yes, inconsistency with ve...

Re: How to control returns with LaunchControl XL
You're welcome, ClyphX Pro works with Live 11 but is only in (a very stable) Beta version at the moment. If you go onto their facebook page you can sign up to be a tester. I've been using it with L11 for a few months now and had no issues. It's a bit of a pain it's not fully released yet but is defi...

Re: Show an image on scene launch
I built a dashboard for my live band using Max for Live, and one part of that shows different images based on a MIDI clip. There's no bespoke device that I could find but the programming for that part is pretty straightforward: have a MIDI clip with different notes for each image, then route those n...

Re: How to control returns with LaunchControl XL
Hi, you're welcome. It sounds like you may need something like Max For Live or ClyphX Pro where you can assign controllers to more parameters e.g. you can have a user profile where two faders are always mapped to returns A and B whichever project you open. CXP also allows you to map to the Master ch...

Re: How to control returns with LaunchControl XL
Hi, you can midimap the LCXL to your master and return tracks and control them. If you still want to control 8 standard tracks you could set up a different user template so you have one user template for standard tracks and another for master/returns and switch between them.
I hope that makes sense?

Re: Are there any "normal" instrument sounds?
There's quite a few free instrument libraries out there, Spitfire Audio is a good starting point, along with Pianobook. Ample Sound have a pretty good P Bass that's free. It's also worth doing some research on Kontakt as there is a free version that enables you to play certain libraries.

Re: click with no accents
I use Ableton as a drummer and have set up a midi track with a drum rack on it. In the drum rack are a variety of blocks, claves, cowbells, shakers, beeps so I cam create any metronome/click track that I want using midi clips, either by looping a one bar clip, or creating a bespoke clip for the enti...

Nope, still not working. Maybe once you've fixed it, check it and then post the link. Fourth time lucky!

Re: Metronome Monitoring
We use two different ways to monitor, both giving us separate mixes from the Master: 1. As the drummer, I have set up three separate audio tracks where the inputs are the click, my vocal and the Master track. I've panned the click hard left, my vocal in the middle and Master towards the right. Then ...

Re: Unexpected Tempo Change at the end of the Timeline
If you're using Session mode then there may be some tempo automation in the Master track in Arrangement mode that's getting pulled through to your session. At least that's what I found when similar happened to me.
