It's connected with a reasonably decent headphone jack adapter. You don't want to use that, it's a stereo jack, and the Scarlett inputs are mono. So just plugging anything in to the channel should solve it, or do I need to split the record audio so that it goes into both?

It's a focusrite scarlett solo 2i2 2nd gen.

I've got a cable taking the record channel from the mixer into the right hand channel on the focusrite. It's connected with a reasonably decent headphone jack adapter.
