Re: Ableton Stock Reverb Reduces Volume Level

Use the reverb as a send instead of an insert effect, and set wet/dry to 100% wet.

When used as an insert, there will always be some attenuation due to the wet/dry mix, which acts as an internal cross fade between the two signals.

MIDI Manipulator | Slice and dice like a ninja, directly inside MIDI clips

MIDI Manipulator is a Max For Live device that adds advanced MIDI manipulation capability to Live, making it easy to quickly create arpeggiated patterns, chop notes into interesting rhythms and create accelerating and decelerating note sequences. All directly written into the MIDI clip. http://tetmu...

Re: (2019) Macbook Pro vs. Mac Mini - Cores vs. Speed!

I'm in a similar boat with the 2.4ghz 8-core MBP on the way. Did you end up getting one? If so, what do you think of it? I'm upgrading from a similar machine - 2014 2.5ghz MBP. Any input you can share is much appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone using 2019 MacBookPro?

Have the 2.4ghz 8-core on the way. Not looking forward to the butterfly keyboard but I can live with it. Curious to hear what you think of it, if you have one. Surprisingly, I'm not finding much discussion about it. How's the fan noise? Have you experienced any throttling? If you upgraded from an ea...

Re: Export Audio/Video - Selected Tracks Only - Separate MIDI & audio tracks from a multi-output synth/sampler - not wor

No direct experience, but one possible workaround, since your Kontakt stuff is already routed to audio tracks, is to record-enable all those channels and do a playback pass. Then find / copy the recordings from the Project folder. Not ideal, but at least you don't have to do one by one.

Re: Playing warped songs independent from project time

Huh. I had totally forgotten that clips can't be looped unless warped... Only thing that comes to mind is a Max For Live device called Fortrek. Think it's on maxforlive.com. Loads up to 4 sounds and each can have its own looping settings. Actually pretty great for non-standard, ambient looping stuff.

Re: Lock piano roll to key scale & mode

That has to be done per each clip on a track, correct? I used to think that placing ghost notes at the beginning of a track was good, but then saw that when making a new clip on the existing track, it didn’t retain the ghost notes. It would be best if Live supported scale highlighting (see FL Studi...

Apollo - Chord Designer & Scale Player

http://tetmusic.com/images/apollo_bigger.gif If you're like me and struggle to find your way around harmonies and melodies on a keyboard, then this device is for you. Use and modify preset chords or create custom ones, pluck notes of the chord manually, and use 3 octaves of "free play" ke...

I've created a simple tool that automatically places "ghost notes" in the selected MIDI clip. You can use one of the 39 included scales or roll your own. You can trigger placement of ghost notes via keyboard shortcut or assigned MIDI, then click the fold button in the MIDI clip to only dis...
