My trick is super simple...

Just drop the sample in Sampler.
Program a release time of how many seconds you need your fade out
Put a midi note on c3 the same length as your sample.
Once you trigger next scene, the sampler clip will stop, but not abruptly, just with the release you programmed ...

I was in a recording session (Just piano / voice, luckily) and I had to quickly switch to Cubase (during the session, singer waiting in booth) to finish my recording... I ...

16 scenes in Live Intro... hard for playback in sessions view.

If you go arrangement view, 16 tracks is a lot for playback, you really put more than 16 stems per song ?

For sure I prefer session view for playback, but most people I know use arrangement view.

I'm having a nightmare with my midi controllers...

I have a Novation SL MkIII 61 notes controller, with a Roland A-88. I was always able to use it simply, by loading a sound in Live, playing my controller, creating songs...

But since a few days, notes get stuck.... I play a sax line, and one ...

Delete your preferences, it will come back.

On a MAC : in Finder, hold the option key and click GO->Library then Preferences->Ableton and choose your latest Live's version in there.

delete the preferences.cfg file.

honestly, it’s the same way with almost every other piece of software, so I guess I’m used to not relying on the icons themselves. I have both installed, and they’re both pinned to my taskbar. I just put 12 where 11 used to be and dragged 11 over to the other side so I don’t get them mixed up ...
