Re: Ableton Live 11 On Windows 11 low framerate

I face low fps even on the empty project both in FL and in Ableton, when the timeline runs for example, you can see how it twitches, even though the same time I can open Pro-Q3 EQ fullsecreen mode and it will show stable 60 fps. I am sure the problem is not with your videocards and settings. I have...

Re: Can I process the track by two different buses separately?

i'm not sure if i'm fully following the routing you are trying to achieve, however i think you need to either use sends & returns, or one of the Max4Live devices that allows you to route anything anywhere, e.g. https://valiumdupeuple.gumroad.com/l/vDPJ?layout=profile This helped me. Thanks very...

Empty Groups

Please make t possible to create empty groups with no tracks. It is useful for making templates and makes it easier to drag tracks between groups.

Can I process the track by two different buses separately?

Is that possible to process the track by two buses simultaneously? So that we kind of have 3 tracks and Bus #1 contains track 1 and 2, Bus #2 is track 2 and 3. And the track 2 is compressed in a Bus #1 and the same time, for example, processed by the resonance suppressor in the Bus #2 ? We can elimi...

Re: Linear phase EQ on the master. Why?

Marketing. I don’t know any mastering engineers who regularly use linear phase EQ over other options, but it can be useful in some situations like the preringing one you mentioned. I probably only need to resort to using one once or twice a year, otherwise minimum phase EQs work just fine and I pre...

Linear phase EQ on the master. Why?

Hi all Can some good mastering engineer explain to me please 🙏 why it is needed for the EQ on the master bus to be in linear mode? The argument that it doesn't change phase doesn't say anything as we deal with not two separately recorded tracks that can cancel each other out due to difference in pha...

Channel EQ. Is it non-linear?

Hi, It doesn't say in the Live manual that it is analog, yet the phases of two identical sounds (one with default channel EQ) don't cancel out. Is that kind of non-linearity, because if it is, it acts strangely because it seems like the distortion doesn't depend on signal level. P.S. the most audibl...

How to speed up rendering ?

Hi,
I have a CPU Intel Core i9 12900KF that is getting loaded 5-10 % when the rendering is going. Other computer hardware is also not loaded.
Is there any hidden way to boost the rendering?

Windows 11
32 GB RAM

Thanks in advance

Is it safe to upgrade to Windows 11?

Is Win 11 fully compatible with Win 10 applications?

Will all my plugins work and by the way are there any difficulties with Ableton that some of you face after upgrading to Win 11?

Thanks very much

Are you talking about a sudden spike when arming it, or a constant increase?
I am talking about constant increase. My premaster shows 0 dBFS, for example, with the limiter on it. Right after I arm the track, the level hits above 4-6 dBs and no perceivable increase in loudness at all.

armed track increases in volume level even with no input

Hi, When I arm an internal track (bus), for no reason it rocks the volume meter up despite the fact that the incoming route is set to No Input, and even if I switch the monitor mode to "auto" or even to "off", situation doesn't change. My bus track is a premaster, the level is cl...

Ctrl+S to save. Can I change the hotkey?

Ctrl+S is close to Ctrl+A and Ctrl+D, Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+X that I use too often to not miss it one time in a day and save the project that I mangled a lot and didn't want to save.
Is there any way I can change that?
