actually, you misunderstood my question. i'll try to explain: i click on "map mode" within an instrument rack now on the left side of ableton i have the macros of the selected instrument rack in an vertical order. everything is green. and i have a value range which i can change. by default...

Can i reset several knobs in an instrument rack to a default (predefined) value with one single button? i.e. record a macro movement and execute when desired?

chain selection, again, decides what is beeing played. i want it to be the active selected device to have automap controlling for that specific device...

Well that would decide which rack pad is beeing played. But not which rack pad is beeing selected as active,to control it's device chain (automapped control - apc40) what i actually have is a drumrack with an instrument rack on each pad. and i want to control the 8 macro's of each instrument rack wh...

Well the last time i used cubase was in the 90's with an atari ST.... i tried a few DAW's in the modern world and ableton is the only answer to my needs. and yeah, that program change feature in midi clips is great. however, i am still asking myself, can an ableton device, let's say operator or anal...

hi, well at least i'm not the only person struggling with this issue :) your last suggestion is a good one - copying all used presets to a own bank. that will make it easier to choose the correct preset since everything is within one bank. thanks for your reply. anyway, it may be time to pay attenti...
