Re: Sampler question

Sampler tries to map samples based on note names found in the file name Are you sure about this ? I've spent the whole day trying to make a carefully named and « logically » working multisample, but i couldn't. For some reason, Sampler sorts names in an alphanumeric way instead of a « musical » one...

Re: .SFZ vs .SF2

The thing is that i wanted to experiment with the Ableton Sampler FM oscillator feature — which i still can, obviously, but the lack of SFZ support is blatantly user unfriendly... As for heavy weight sound libraries, yes, i remember of a Sound on Sound article warning about this, about 15 years ago....

Re: .SFZ vs .SF2

There is still a "-LegacyMultiSampleImport" modifier you can add to Options.txt. https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/6003224107292-Options-txt-file Thanks a lot for this, although it didn't help so far. Eventually, i'm unsure Ableton ever supported SFZ, as SF2 is always mentioned, ...

Re: Sampler- Managing patches.

Why can't we just have a Sampler > Save as... feature ?

We buy Live to make music, not for managing files in order to kill time and dopamine.

Guys, you need to understand that this nonsense is depressing.

Re: .SFZ vs .SF2

As Ableton said lately, « as of Live 11 it is no longer possible to import .nki, .eks, .sf2, or .gig files into Sampler. » I'm surprised to notice — and quite disappointed, to say the least — that Sampler won't import SFZ files either. So, unless you have sampled one sound per note (i.e. wasted disk...

Re: Beat repeat driving me mad! please help

Hi there, I couldn't get my head around the Beat Repeat either : although i used the exact same settings as Keith Mills did, the « stutter » was launched one bar late, i.e. there was no way to repeat my very first beat or bar ! I eventually moved the device position in the plug-ins chain : instead o...

Re: Live 10. Change the color palette?

You're absolutely right, however i've done a couple of them so far...
But (like i said) it's a bit time consuming, plus they're probably unperfect :

Re: Live 10. Change the color palette?

This website is sooo addictive ! I never thought i'd succumb to those Themes/Skins stuff ! Now — after experimenting some fresh tones — i wonder whether one should work on dedicated Themes according to the track vibe, such as « i like to work with earthy tones when making world music » ! The problem...

Re: Live 10. Change the color palette?

Woaaaah, hundreds, thousands, millions of thanks !
Your screen cap exactly looks like what i'm after : a white-highlighted active track that one can miss !
What a great day !

PS : plus i'm on PC so your answer totally fits.

Re: Live 10. Change the color palette?

Hi Guys, I guess the answer is « no » but, to make sure, do you confirm there's no way to edit the Live « active » channel color, i mean the one you're currently working on ? As @pottering said, grey over grey is not an ideal choice for the user to spot one track amongst other ones. Of course the ac...
