No, don't add it!
The option is off by default and, believe me, you don't want it.
Options.txt is not officially supported and is generally not needed. Some here might disagree, but I don't think it's worth it when it's not supported.

Any chance you have an options.txt file?
There's an option named "-AutoAdjustMacroMappingRange" that does what you seem to be experiencing. I thought it looked like a cool option myself, but it's just a pain in the arse.

I think I know what you mean. I have a launchkey and the custom profiles don't track the takeover mode in Live.
There is an option in Novation Components where you can select the takeover/pickup mode for custom profiles. I don't remember if it's a profile or an individual control option.

Doesn't on the radar mean it is coming, but might take a while?
Having it off line and as one document rather than broken up makes it harder to just read at leisure when travelling.

This may or may not work for you, but you can just duplicate the chain for each variation and automate the chain selector.
I'm pretty sure devices on the other chains don't use CPU.

Where have they said that? The word I got was the manual will be released soon.

It seems to happen when loading new versions. Usually sorts itself out after Live finishes scanning files and a restart.

How will it know which vst to display? There's often multiple plugins on a track, so you still have to select the one you want.

I want a shortcut to open/close the selected vsts window.

Not saying it's impossible, but there are complications.

One reason it's not so simple is that you can map several controls to one macro. Different controls with different units and ranges.

These aren't specific to a control surface. They're the same built in banks for each ableton device that you see on a Push in Device mode. It's also called Device mode on my LaunchKey 37. The controls on the newer Live devices do have mappings, but they're not documented so you have to go through ea...

The automatic mappings from device parameters to control surface knobs is out of date. They don't seems to have been updated since v10. Newer devices aren't even listed.
Please update to the current version.

Drag and drop is working on Live 11.3.20 on PC. Also working on Live 12.0b.25 on PC.
Tested wav, mp3 and aif on both versions.
Tested dragging clips from Live to File Explorer. That's working too.

It seems Windows is to blame.
Colours don't work on emojis anywhere any more.
I found a few "fixes", but they didn't.
