Re: Launch clip without launching entire scene

Does it happen in all your Live files? Can you duplicate the problem with a fresh file and just a few tracks?

If it's just one file, I'd suspect it's corrupted.

Re: configure button on live devices like vsts

While we're at it, allow us to edit the names of vst parameters and set their colour. Would make it so much easier to use. Counting across to find the right bank number gets old really fast.

Re: Sends / Control View

Make the tracks wider. It switches from round knobs to sliders depending on the size of the track.

Re: Control selected track \w keyboard shortcuts

As far as I can tell, Live compiles/translates your python code on startup and loads the result. When you edit your code it won't recompile it and just keeps loading the compiled code. I tried deleting the code, but it seems to be in RAM and won't update. The best I could do was save the simplest po...

That is what it already does. The track you select in one is always selected in the other.

Re: Project thread: Building an ultra-portable performance set, and my experience with Remote Scripting in Live 10

Do you mean devices on group tracks or devices in racks? If it's racks, this might help. I call this to build a list so I can traverse the entire device list in a sensible order. I spent some time trying to do it without building a list but it gets messy with racks. def get_device_list(self, contain...

Re: Project thread: Building an ultra-portable performance set, and my experience with Remote Scripting in Live 10

This is my code. if track.is_foldable: track.fold_state = not track.fold_state else: track.view.is_collapsed = not track.view.is_collapsed fold_state refers to groups .is_foldable is true for Groups. .is_collapsed refers to tracks that are collapsed in Arrangement view. I combined the two because it...

Re: Project thread: Building an ultra-portable performance set, and my experience with Remote Scripting in Live 10

What your talking about is definitely possible, but it's something of a puzzle! I'm a beginner with python as well and initial learning curve is pretty steep. I learnt/am learning a lot by looking at a script called Selected Track Control. It's open source, so there's no problem using it as a learni...

Not sure if you found this or not but there's a few hints to be gleaned from these examples. All current scripts decompiled. github/gluon/AbletonLive11_MIDIRemoteScripts Good luck. I'm on a similar path trying to get more useful functionality for my Launchkey. The built in features are great but the...

Re: preset system

1 - Click the hotswap button. Live automatically selects the folder the current preset comes from, no need to click in the browser. 2 - Use arrow keys to move around and find a preset. 3 - Press enter to select it. 4 - Press Escape to close hotswap. OR Click hotswap. Double click the preset you want...
